Your questions answered

What is self check in and lock and leave?

You will not see the owners but will need to enter in a security code to unlock the door. Upon check-out leave the towels in the bathrooms can lock up the property before you leave.

What payments do you accept online?

We accept, Mastercard and Visa card. If you pay bank deposit a $100 holding / security deposit will also be charged.

Is it safe to book online with my credit card? How secure is it?

Very safe – we offer SSL protection through out secure online travel portal.

How come I have to pay a security deposit?

You only pay this if you don’t pay via credit card. This deposit is used because the cottage is SELF check in and SELF check out. It is used to cover any food/drinks consumed, internet used, extra days stayed, damages/excess cleaning.

When will the deposit be returned to me?

Within 5 working days after your stay with us, we may have to contact you for bank details if you payed via bank deposit to refund your deposit.

What is parking like?

A private driveway around 100m in length with a gate at the front. Undercover carport for one. Room to park three or more cars on grass around the cottage and or trailer/caravan on driveway.

Can I have two people staying but use separate rooms?

Yes, standard prices listed are for one queen room only (2 people). If you want to use another room(s) you need to select this on the next booking page as an extra. Two people staying in separate rooms incurs a $35 extra charge per night. Two rooms are automatically selected for three or more people.

What are you terms and conditions of booking?

Are you close to the beach?

Mount Browne Cottage is around a 10 minute drive to the main beaches of Coffs Harbour. We are located in the small mountains just west of Coffs Harbour in beautiful, cool rainforest.

What happens to us if we are double booked?

This is very rare, however on occasion it happens due to phone bookings and other website bookings happening at the same time, normally it would only be a day overlap. We always try to talk to you and relocate you and make another accommodation booking for you of same or similar value in Coffs Harbour.

However, you will be required to pay for this new booking in full on your arrival at the new location. A full refund will be of course issued by us for any stay not had that you have paid for. You are more than welcome to stay any days that we can free for you at Mount Browne Cottage.
